CentiMark Corporation, QuestMark (a division of CentiMark Corporation) and CentiMark Ltd. (a Canadian subsidiary of CentiMark Corporation) have a tradition of sharing our blessings throughout the year, and especially during this season of Thanksgiving.
What is your rooftop snow removal plan?
Winter can be a harsh season for your roof. In addition to being one of your building’s most valuable assets, your roof can also be one of the most vulnerable.
Unprecedented damage has occurred in the United States and Puerto Rico this year due to extreme weather events with damages estimated in the billions. Though the full extent of the damage is still unclear, price increases and shortages of raw building materials are expected.
In tribute to our QuestMark associates who are veterans, we take great pride in featuring them and we thank them for their service to our country.

With all of the choices for employment out there, why would you want to work at CentiMark?
Well, for lots of reasons!
Commercial roofing is a business that will never go out of style and is always in demand. That means that economic conditions have little effect on our business.
In roofing, business is booming!
Roofing is a profession that is always in demand, because every building has a roof!
Roofing is not affected as dramatically by economic changes as some other areas of the construction industry because there is a steady demand for repair work. Most roofs require regular inspections, repair or maintenance. The average building requires a roof replacement every 15 to 30 years. Also, since CentiMark Corporation has a nationwide presence, we normally have work backlogs somewhere which can help to keep the workforce busy all year round.
The beginning of fall means winter is right around the corner which can bring harsh weather for your roof. In addition to being one of your building’s most valuable assets, your roof can also be one of the most vulnerable. Even the strongest and most durable roof can have some weaknesses. Without a proper roof inspection in the fall, your roof system may be susceptible to major damage during the winter months. Fixing any issues before the freeze/thaw cycle begins will save you a lot of hassle in the long run.
Plant shutdowns are good for business! While there is no convenient time to shut down a plant for maintenance work, plant shutdowns are a necessity for manufacturing facilities to maintain plants and equipment. This work typically cannot be performed during normal business operations. Weekends and the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays tend to be popular times to schedule the work.
Following a weather emergency, it may be days or even weeks before a roofing crew can be mobilized and sent to your facility due to peak repair demands. When you pre-register for CentiMark’s Priority Plus Program we make you a priority by sending service repair crews to your facility as quickly as it is safe to travel. Our crews will inspect the condition of the roof, determine damage and perform necessary emergency repairs.
Know your evacuation plan
As Hurricane Irma poses a serious threat to Florida and parts of the Southeast beginning this weekend, many areas have started evacuations and States of Emergency have been issued. It is important to know which evacuation zone you are in and the evacuation route.
Does your facility have a parking lot with multiple cracks? Are you re-saturating the surface only to find that it creates a mess and oils are tracked inside of your building? Do you want to extend the time between expensive milling and re-paving?
For American companies doing business in Canada, now is a great time to complete your re-roofing and repair projects. The exchange rate between the Canadian dollar and the US dollar makes business favorable for American companies. The Canadian dollar was approximately $0.79 of US dollars as of July 17, 2017.
Winter is right around the corner. Yes, we prefer not to think about it or to say it aloud in the middle of summer. But, if you have a roofing project that needs to be completed by winter, it’s time to get that project on the schedule.
For all businesses, partnering with a roofing contractor who makes safety a priority is a smart decision. The lack of safety protocols and training in commercial roofing projects can end up costing more than the cost of the original project. Pre-qualifying your contractor to make sure the crews have proper mandatory safety training helps insure that your roofing project will be successful.
Each year from June 15th to September 30th, Arizona has a seasonal weather pattern known as monsoon season. Monsoon refers to an entire season and not one particular storm. Dry winds blowing from the west and southwest shift to the south and southeast bringing moisture from the Gulf of California. The heat of the summer, along with the moisture, fuels the storms.
CentiMark is proud to announce that two of the children of CentiMark associates are winners of the NRCA Children’s Art Contest for National Roofing Week. The winning artwork will be featured on all 2018 National Roofing Week material and additional promotional material to be displayed at industry events throughout the year, including the 2018 International Roofing Expo® and NRCA's 131th Annual Convention in New Orleans.
Hurricane season begins June 1st and runs through November 30th. The 2017 hurricane season is predicted to have above-average activity, so it is important to prepare for the possibility of a severe storm.
To prepare for a hurricane, it is important to keep your roof in mind. If you are located in a coastal state, schedule a roof inspection to get your roof ready for future storm(s).
