The frequency of torrential rains and microbursts in much of the United States has increased dramatically since 1958, according to the U.S. National Climate Assessment’s “Climate Change Impacts in the United States”1 which puts large amounts of rain on the roof in very short periods of time. The impact of all this heavy rainfall on roofs can, has been and will continue to be disastrous, especially when roof drainage systems fail.
Congratulations to Ed Dunlap and CentiMark Corporation on your 50th anniversary!
Congratulations to CentiMark on your 50th Anniversary!
Mother Teresa once said, “It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.” When thinking about these words, one person that comes to mind is Edward B. Dunlap, Chairman & CEO, CentiMark.
Congratulations to CentiMark on your 50th Anniversary!
CentiMark Foundation has been a tremendous friend to NHS since 2006, providing much needed grant funding to help where program resources fall short. In addition, they have generously provided back-to-school supplies and backpacks, gift cards around the Christmas and Easter holidays and so much more. This partnership has afforded the children and adults that we serve with opportunities and choices and has helped them to reach their fullest potential.
Your roof and floors take the brunt of everyday activities and are your building’s first line of defense; make sure you give them the support they need to protect you. Our mission is to keep your building watertight and safe for you, your assets and employees all in concert with your regular business operations. We focus on workmanship and attention to detail. That’s why we back our work up with a $14 million provision for warranty expense.
CentiMark Corporation, QuestMark (a division of CentiMark Corporation) and CentiMark Ltd. (a Canadian subsidiary of CentiMark Corporation) have a tradition of sharing our blessings throughout the year, and especially during this season of Thanksgiving.
What is your rooftop snow removal plan?
Winter can be a harsh season for your roof. In addition to being one of your building’s most valuable assets, your roof can also be one of the most vulnerable.
Unprecedented damage has occurred in the United States and Puerto Rico this year due to extreme weather events with damages estimated in the billions. Though the full extent of the damage is still unclear, price increases and shortages of raw building materials are expected.
In tribute to our QuestMark associates who are veterans, we take great pride in featuring them and we thank them for their service to our country.

My father, Jeffery Stuckey, is also a Navy veteran and works for QuestMark in Stow, OH.
With all of the choices for employment out there, why would you want to work at CentiMark?
Well, for lots of reasons!
Commercial roofing is a business that will never go out of style and is always in demand. That means that economic conditions have little effect on our business.
In roofing, business is booming!
Roofing is a profession that is always in demand, because every building has a roof!
Roofing is not affected as dramatically by economic changes as some other areas of the construction industry because there is a steady demand for repair work. Most roofs require regular inspections, repair or maintenance. The average building requires a roof replacement every 15 to 30 years. Also, since CentiMark Corporation has a nationwide presence, we normally have work backlogs somewhere which can help to keep the workforce busy all year round.
The beginning of fall means winter is right around the corner which can bring harsh weather for your roof. In addition to being one of your building’s most valuable assets, your roof can also be one of the most vulnerable. Even the strongest and most durable roof can have some weaknesses. Without a proper roof inspection in the fall, your roof system may be susceptible to major damage during the winter months. Fixing any issues before the freeze/thaw cycle begins will save you a lot of hassle in the long run.
Plant shutdowns are good for business! While there is no convenient time to shut down a plant for maintenance work, plant shutdowns are a necessity for manufacturing facilities to maintain plants and equipment. This work typically cannot be performed during normal business operations. Weekends and the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays tend to be popular times to schedule the work.
Following a weather emergency, it may be days or even weeks before a roofing crew can be mobilized and sent to your facility due to peak repair demands. When you pre-register for CentiMark’s Priority Plus Program we make you a priority by sending service repair crews to your facility as quickly as it is safe to travel. Our crews will inspect the condition of the roof, determine damage and perform necessary emergency repairs.
Know your evacuation plan
As Hurricane Irma poses a serious threat to Florida and parts of the Southeast beginning this weekend, many areas have started evacuations and States of Emergency have been issued. It is important to know which evacuation zone you are in and the evacuation route.
Does your facility have a parking lot with multiple cracks? Are you re-saturating the surface only to find that it creates a mess and oils are tracked inside of your building? Do you want to extend the time between expensive milling and re-paving?
For American companies doing business in Canada, now is a great time to complete your re-roofing and repair projects. The exchange rate between the Canadian dollar and the US dollar makes business favorable for American companies. The Canadian dollar was approximately $0.79 of US dollars as of July 17, 2017.
