What does it take to be a flooring laborer at QuestMark?
Flooring laborers install polished concrete, epoxy, urethane, and hard surface floor systems to the industrial, commercial, and retail markets. Projects may require work to be done in the evenings and on weekends dependent on the type of job. Flooring work requires physical strength and stamina and may involve: heavy lifting, climbing, bending and kneeling. QuestMark provides a comprehensive Safety Program to ensure a safe work environment throughout each project.

Flooring laborers also may perform the following duties:

  • Remove existing flooring
  • Clean and prepare the floor surface
  • Measure project areas
  • Floor system installation
  • Floor maintenance
  • Apply finishes, such as sealants and stains

There are no specific education requirements to become a flooring installer. An understanding of basic math and previous construction experience is considered helpful.
