CentiMark Takes Madison, WI for Low Slope Roof System Course
Around 20 CentiMark sales and marketing associates braved the frigid Madison, Wisconsin weather to attend The University of Wisconsin’s (UW) continuing education training for low slope roofing from December 2nd through 4th.
The panel, mainly comprised of seasoned engineers, provided participants with both practical and conceptual explanations of roofing fundamentals and advanced concepts alike. The course also explored the latest in design, installation, and maintenance methods for membrane, sprayed foam, and metal roof systems.
Day one began by focusing on the intricacies of thermoplastic and other single-ply systems, continued by exploring the challenges and benefits of green roof systems, and concluded with an extensive discussion around moisture and its effects on industrial roofing systems.
Day two covered the technical ins-and-outs of asphalt systems, spray foam systems, decks, wind loads, insulation and provided up-to-date information around IBC code requirements. The day concluded with an hour long Q&A in which course participants were invited to “stump the experts”. Day three focused entirely on metal roofing with great detail.
Throughout their time at UW, CentiMark’s associates were able to absorb information from a few of our industry’s most knowledgeable experts. The week concluded with some discussion around how this newfound knowledge will help both the sales and marketing teams provide further insight and value to our customers… and of course, some Green Bay Packers football.
