Phil Wilkie Voted Leadership Role in ISM Pittsburgh - Second VP
“I am pleased to announce that Phil Wilkie has been voted the Second Vice President of ISM (Institute of Supply Management) Pittsburgh 2019-2020. Phil will serve the organization well and it's a wonderful opportunity to further strengthen his career and knowledge of supply chain management. The role will take Phil through a three-year track ultimately ending as the President of the organization for the 2021-2022 program year. Congratulations Phil and good luck guiding ISM Pittsburgh!” James T. Patterson C.P.M., CentiMark Corporate Sr. Vice President - Procurement
Phil Wilkie joined CentiMark Purchasing Department as a Buyer in 2002 and was promoted to Senior Buyer in 2013. In his position, he helps coordinate the buying and delivery of TPO, PVC and EPDM roofing materials from our Corporate roofing vendors. He assists Jim Patterson in negotiating pricing, yearly contracts and rebate program for CentiMark’s Corporate vendors.
“Having a good procurement supply chain for CentiMark is very involved and a very important cog in the CentiMark wheel”, says Phil. “We manage the roofing material from requisition to PO (Purchase Order) to delivery to our warehouses or to our job sites.” He adds, “To do that, without incident, on a consistent basis, CentiMark Purchasing has to make sure the vendors we use are best-of-class in their manufacturing and delivery of material on a day-to-day basis. If we aren’t doing our jobs at a high level every day, then materials don’t make it to the job site and we can’t install a roof! It is truly a team effort with our vendors to keep the CentiMark machine running!”
ISM is a purchasing organization that exists to enhance the purchasing professionals of Western PA through education, certification, communication and networking. Phil has been a member in good standing of ISM Pittsburgh since 2003. Since 2010, he has served on the Audit Committee.
As Second Vice President, Phil is responsible to provide support, direction and coordination among all board members and to observe the future responsibilities of each progressive officer role that he will take on over the next four years.
“My goal as Second Vice President is to do as much learning as possible about the inner-workings of ISM. Then, as I move into the roles of First VP and President, I will have all the necessary experience to lead ISM thru my tenure on the board,” states Phil. “I am committed to helping make ISO Pittsburgh a better organization so they can continue to help the purchasing professionals of Western PA.”
Congratulations on your new role Phil!
