Holy Family Institute - A Tribute to CentiMark's 50th
Improving schools, enriching neighborhoods, providing transformational resources to people in need… these items are not on the agenda of the typical roofing company. But CentiMark is not a typical company. Since 2004, the generous donations of CentiMark Chairman & CEO Edward B. Dunlap have aided Holy Family Institute in helping children and families lead responsible lives and develop healthy and meaningful relationships.
Through his actions, we know Mr. Dunlap believes in the gospel call to make the world a better place. His contributions to Holy Family Institute have done just that.
Here are a few ways CentiMark has invested in the community:
Gifts that Make a Difference
Mr. Dunlap’s donations have contributed to a wide array of programming, from our former residential program and scholarships, to our Faith in Action and Strengthening Our Communities programs, to our Journey of Hope Initiative for immigrant children. He has also provided much-needed gift cards and backpacks and school supplies. CentiMark has also been a sponsor of our annual golf fundraiser, which contributes to all of our work in the community.
Empowering Children and Families
Mr. Dunlap’s donations have supported resources like Holy Family Institute’s SNAP® (Stop Now and Plan) program, which helps children overcome behavior issues by learning how to manage their emotions and “keep problems small.” Through this program, children build stronger, healthier relationships with their families, peers and authority figures; they spend less time in trouble and more time learning and succeeding in school.
Training the Next Generation
Mr. Dunlap has also contributed to Holy Family Institute’s latest endeavor, opened in 2014: Holy Family Academy, a progressive, private high school serving a diverse student body. The generosity of supporters like Mr. Dunlap allows Holy Family Academy to provide rigorous, personalized college and career preparation to students who would not otherwise have access to such an education. These young people are becoming the innovators, entrepreneurs and servant-leaders who will usher our region into a thriving and equitable future.
That future is a little brighter for dozens of families thanks to Mr. Dunlap and CentiMark. Holy Family Institute extends congratulations on 50 years in business and looks forward to many more years of working together for children and families in our community.
