Little Sisters of the Poor - A Tribute to CentiMark's 50th

John Rudzik and Mother JudithThe generosity of CentiMark.. For many years, Ed Dunlap and the employees at CentiMark have helped the Little Sisters of the Poor and our mission to care for the elderly poor of Pittsburgh. A few years back, we were planning our first ever Rock A Thon when our Residents and friends rock in rocking chairs to raise funds to replace an outdated bathtub on one of the nursing units. Our goal was to raise enough for one tub, but in actuality we needed three.

Somehow word got back to Mr. Dunlap and the CentiMark Foundation about our needs. A month prior to the event, CentiMark employees John Rudzik and Kathy Slencak appeared at our Home with a check to cover one entire therapeutic bathtub! What a wonderful gift to our Residents!

Our Rock A Thon event went on to raise double our goal, making it possible to purchase all three brand new bathtubs for the nursing households. It was a true miracle due to the generosity of one man and his company.Rock A Thon 2011 auditorium
